A public service announcement · from the people who love him

Someone, please, date Kadin.

Kadin Hayakawa: golfer, pool shark, genuinely great musician, and one of the most caring humans we know. He will remember your coffee order, your dog's name, and your mom's birthday. He is — and science cannot explain this — single.

He loves golf. Maybe too much.

Let's address it up front: golf isn't just Kadin's hobby, it's his profession. He runs the 18 Birdies social media and spends his workdays filming videos out on the course — which means he engineered a life where being on the fairway counts as being at the office. And he walks all eighteen, every time. No cart. The man commits.

But study the hoodie. The man owns — and wears, in public — apparel that openly roasts his favorite sport. That's the full package right there: obsessed enough to be passionate, self-aware enough to laugh at it. Date a man who can take a joke and a divot.

Talents, documented.

The scorecard made some big claims. Here are the exhibits.

Exhibit A: rehearsals happen wherever the guitar is.
A hand holding a pool cue and a folded twenty-dollar bill in front of a pool table
Exhibit B: fresh winnings. Play him for fun, not for money.

Exhibit C: an off day. He practiced anyway.

Hole 7 · Par 5

Never run out of openers.

Stuck on a first message? Skip "hey." Here are five field-tested conversation starters, vetted and approved by the committee.

№1 The fishing trip

Ask him about last summer's fishing trip — the one where he almost died. We are not exaggerating for the website. It is a genuinely wild story with a beginning, a middle, and a part where everyone at the table goes quiet.

We won't spoil it here, because hearing Kadin tell it is the whole experience. Pictured: a dramatic reenactment, performed by the survivor himself.

Opening line, free of charge: "So… I heard about the fishing trip." That's it. That's all you need. He'll take it from there.

The Florida chapter

He recently spent six months living in Florida — golfing, surfing, and loving every single minute of it. Ask about the night the water started glowing: bioluminescence is real, and he's paddled through it.

"Wait — the water glows?"

№3

The long way around

Moved to Texas with his cousin for a few months, then the two of them took off to Vietnam for the better part of a year. He came back with stories — and opinions about noodle soup.

"Texas or Vietnam: better food?"

№4

Board game night

The Hayakawa family takes board games seriously, and Kadin loves every minute at that table. Show up with strategy. Or don't — they'll adopt you either way.

"Which game ends friendships in your family?"

A rocket launch arcing a long smoke trail over a crowded Florida beach №5

The rocket launches

In Florida he lived up the road from Cape Canaveral, where rocket launches are basically a neighborhood event. He watched them streak over the beach more times than he can count. It never once got old.

"Wait — you've seen a real launch?"

Important legal disclaimer

Yes, he's great with kids. No, you may not keep the baby.

Please note: The infant pictured does not come with Kadin. The baby ("Ashem") is a prop baby deployed strictly for demonstration purposes and is not the property of Kadin Hayakawa. Ashem remains under separate ownership and management, and appears here solely as evidence that Kadin is excellent with small humans, grandparents, dogs, and your friends. No babies are included with any date, relationship, or long-term commitment. Void where prohibited.

The approval committee

Kadin's world runs on the people he loves — and yes, that means there's a board, and the board votes. Be likable. Because if this list doesn't approve? Cya.

Hole 16 · Par 4

Comes with great friends

Kadin collects good people the way he collects birdies. Beach nights, launch viewings, league nights at the pool hall, spontaneous singalongs when the guitar comes out — his crew shows up for all of it.

Date Kadin and the friend group comes standard: loyal, hilarious, and genuinely welcoming. Inside-joke onboarding takes about a week.

Shoot your shot.

You've read the scorecard. You know about the fishing trip. The committee awaits. If you're kind, funny, and can tolerate one (1) enthusiastic golf recap per outing — say hi. He's genuinely worth it.
